Mr. Alexander Matheson
Was one of the people who helped Alexander Macrae write the Clan History book, and was named in the Preface. He was a shipowner, Dornie, one of the best read and most intelligent of Highland seannachies, whose acquaintance it was my misfortune not to have made until only a few weeks before his death, which occurred on the 14th of October, 1897.
